The contribution will fund construction of monkey bars, adding to the equipment available at the soon to be built nature playground.
President of the Onslow School P&C, Kelly Jeffreys, was extremely grateful for the donation, stating that the generosity of organisations such as K+S Salt enables the P&C to access more resources which are limited in such a remote community.
“2020 has been a unique time for everyone, particularly in small regional towns, so we are excited to complete the playground and bring more smiles to the children,” she said.
K+S Salt Australia Managing Director Gerrit Gödecke said he was looking forward to the children enjoying the new monkey bars at the school.
“We are committed to supporting the local communities of Onslow and Exmouth,” Mr Gödecke said.
“If approved, our Ashburton Salt Project will create 100 permanent, local jobs across Onslow and Exmouth, so we are consulting closely to ensure our community support lands where it is really needed.”
“We look forward to continuing to support Onslow Primary School, and the wider Onslow and Exmouth communities.”
